Stolen Car Crashes Into Taylor Swift’s New England Home
Taylor Swift owns a lovely seaside mansion in Westerly, Rhode Island. On Tuesday morning around 1 a.m., a stolen car with four people inside, crashed into her home, according to The Boston Globe. The news article says it was being chased by a Hopkinton police officer because the car didn't have a license plate. After a pursuit that reportedly reached speeds of 65 mph, the driver, Shykeim Edwin Lewis smashed into the main entrance gate of her house. The 19-year-old from Hartford, Connecticut and two of his friends were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries as per the Globe. Another man who was in the car ran away, but was later apprehended.
The report does not tell us whether Swift was at home at the time of the crash, or if the men knew it was the singer's property.
Police continue to investigate.
