I don't know about you, but sometimes I feel our men and women in law enforcement don't always get the recognition they deserve for the job they do. They have vowed to serve and protect our communities, often putting their lives in danger to do so.

That's something that someone recognized when they paid for a Westbrook Police Sergeant's dinner. We don't know who the generous person was who paid for dinner or the name of the sergeant who received the gesture, but a simple post on the Westbrook Police Department's Facebook page said thank you for the generosity.

It's the little things like this that can really show how much we appreciate that these people have our backs. To all the men and women across Maine who protect our communities we say thank you for what you do.
