Maine Smokin’ Dad’s BBQ Food Truck Has the Funniest Slogan Around

I have to tell you about a food truck that completely won me over and honestly, it started before I even took my first bite. 

I recently met Chase, one-half of the husband and wife team behind SmokinDads BBQ, at an event, and these two are just the sweetest. You can tell they're genuinely excited about what they're building, and that passion shows in every part of the business. 

Then I walked up to the truck. 

On the side it says, We Have Your Moms Favorite Meat

I laughed out loud.

Now let's talk about the food. 

Chase handed me a few things to try, and wow... this is the kind of barbecue that makes you stop talking for a second because it's so good. 

The brisket was incredibly tender, the pulled pork was packed with flavor, and if you're a mac and cheese person (I definitely am), theirs deserves your attention.

Their menu is loaded with tons of comfort food.  

They've got brisket sandwiches, pulled pork sandwiches, Irish tacos, "Walkin' Tacos," smoked meats by the pound, burnt ends, chili, cornbread, and creamy mac and cheese that you can top with brisket, pulled pork, or even burnt ends if you're feeling ambitious.

The best part? They're a local and based in Saco that launched in 2024, and they're already building quite the following.

This week you can catch them at Après in Portland on Wednesday from 4:00–8:00 p.m., Thompson's Point Thursday evening, and they'll be at Lowe's in Scarborough Friday through Sunday. 

And if you're planning a graduation party, wedding, company event, or backyard get-together, they also cater with custom menus.
