It's funny how life works sometimes.

The very thing that terrified you as a kid can end up becoming your biggest passion as an adult.

Just ask Emily Morrison.

When she was just 8 years old, she watched Jaws and became convinced a shark was going to eat her. Instead of avoiding everything shark-related forever, she leaned into that fear.

She started learning about them, studying them, and eventually built an entire career around understanding one of the ocean's most misunderstood animals.

From Shark Fear to Shark Expert: Emily Morrison’s Incredible Transformation

Today, Emily is a shark biologist, educator, and tour operator who takes people on adventures to hunt for prehistoric shark fossils while teaching them about shark conservation.

Oh... and she also happens to hold a Guinness World Record.

Emily has the most shark tattoos on a woman's body. Her collection originally included 106 tattoos featuring 71 different shark species, fossil teeth, and even a real shark tooth incorporated into the artwork.

During this year's Shark Week, she added two more tattoos on camera, bringing the grand total to 108.

I honestly think that's the coolest part of this story. The tattoos aren't just for show they represent a lifelong mission to educate people and replace fear with fascination.

Emily will be featured on Discovery Channel's "My Strange Shark Addiction" during Shark Week, giving viewers a closer look at her incredible collection and the passion behind it.

It's proof that sometimes the thing that scares you most doesn't have to define you.

Sometimes, it becomes the very thing that shapes your life's work and in Emily's case, it's written from her feet all the way to her neck.
