September in Maine is Basically a Music Festival
If you need a pick-me-up and I know you do, music is your answer and September in Maine is here to save the day, and your ears.
According to News Center Maine, the concert line ups from Bangor to Portland and further are iconic this month. I am talking legends, tribute bands, concerts that will blow your mind and give you the extra spark you need going into fall.
Let us begin with the Outlaw Music Festival. It’s on Friday, September. 5 in Bangor.
So, if you are into incredible legends like Bob Dylan, Sheryl Crow and Willie Nelson, this show is exactly what you came for. You'll get to see these icons live, in concert! Right in front of you!
The concert will be amazing as well because it's outdoors and guaranteed to be legendary and you still have time to grab tickets. But run, don’t walk.
Next is Phantogram which will be brining the cool and smooth moody vibes to the State Theatre in Portland on Monday, September 8th. The inner indie kid you have inside of you will thank you for this show.
For those of us who are into rock, alternative country and just good chill vibes, you will want to witness Alejandro Escovedo. He will hit the stage at Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield on Sept. 12th.
Also on September 12th, Start Making Sense at the Waterville Opera House will take place so if you are into Talking Heads this tribute band is so good you’ll forget it isn’t David Byrne singing up there.

To end out the month, Patty Larkin & Lucy Kaplansky will grace the stage at the beautiful Jonathan’s in Ogunquit on September 19th. This is the perfect show and excuse for a road trip and wine sipping with your girls.
Here’s the moral of this story: September in Maine if your month to let the music sooth over your soul and heal you before the snow hits and ruins everything. Visit the venues online and grab your tickets now!
