
SEE PICS: Historic Acadian Village In Nova Scotia
Acadian Village was one of my favorite stops during our Nova Scotian whirlwind weekend. It's located on a beautiful 17 acre site that overlooks the Pubnico Harbour, according to their website. Being there felt like I had taken a time machine back to the early 1900s. The workers were dressed in the traditional garb of that era, and the furniture and decorations were perfect.
I got an authentic taste of the life, culture and history of this quaint, little village as it once was in the 1900s. I also sampled their famous molasses cookies that were baked in an old-fashioned oven.
