This Floating Sauna in Maine Feels Like a Nordic Dream
One of my favorite things about certain gyms is when they have a sauna built in. There honestly aren’t many great sauna spots in Maine, but after a workout, sitting in that deep wood-fired cedar heat just hits differently.
Saunas are special and they do something do your mind and body that make you feel magical.
There’s one sauna in Kennebunkport, Maine that I have yet to visit and I desperately want to add it to my bucket list.
It’s unlike any sauna you’ve gone to, imagine sitting in a sauna, floating on the water. Yes, the open water. This is a floating sauna and it’s very Maine.
The best part? They offer a hot AND cold cycle, as per the site.

You warm up inside the sauna until you are feeling cooked, then step outside and barrel into the cold ocean water. It will shock your system to oblivion in the best way possible. Your skin will tingle, you’ll be refreshed and feel alive.
People usually go in small groups, so it’s a connecting experience. Bring your suit, water, and sandals and just be ready to unplug and do some good for your body.
No rushing, no scrolling, just heat, breathe, good shock, and incredible coastal views.
I don't think I need to sell you anymore on this but take a look at part of their description from their website,
"Let your senses awaken in our floating haven. Book your session today and experience Maine’s newest and most unforgettable way to unwind."
I mean, c'mon.Let's say hello heaven, waiting for you on the coast of Maine.
If you’re planning a visit, check their schedule ahead of time because spots can fill up fast, especially in summer and fall when tourists and locals both want in on it. Sunset sessions are elite.
