Do people in your neighborhood pick up after their dogs? Responsible pet owners do. Unfortunately, not all of them are responsible... which is why this is an important event.

The "April Stool's Day And Community Clean-Up" is an annual event in Portland and South Portland, Maine to clear parks and beaches of dog waste and trash. If you'd like to volunteer a few hours of your time, they are rewarding people with coffee and gift certificates. The biggest reward is knowing that you helped to clean up your neighborhood to make it a better place for you, your family and everyone else. Plus, you can bring your kids and your pets.
