Romaine Lettuce E. Coli Outbreak Makes Two New Hampshire People Sick
In case you haven't heard the news, there's another nationwide recall on romaine lettuce due to a dangerous strain of E. Coli bacteria. Two New Hampshire residents and two Massachusetts residents are among the dozens of people who are sick after eating romaine lettuce, according to CBS Boston. The news channel is reporting that 32 people in 11 U.S. states and 18 people in Canada have become ill so far.
E. coli symptoms include severe stomach cramps, diarrhea and vomiting, according to the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services.
Don't buy romaine lettuce until further notice. If you have any in your refrigerator, take it back to the store you bought it from for a refund or throw it out. And, avoid eating it at restaurants.
