Is it just me or has this been a long time in the making?

No matter how long you had to wait, it's finally here and open. Rio Bravo Tacos & Tequila. They are a family-owned restaurant that serves 'authentic Mexican food, freshly squeezed margaritas, and refreshing beer'. Looks like the family may be out of Connecticut as that is where this originated.

There are three places in Connecticut, one in Tuckahoe, New York, and now Westbrook, Maine! Their story isn't extensive. On their website they say,

Rio Bravo Tacos & Tequila is Family Owned restaurant that serves authentic Mexican food, freshly squeezed margaritas, and refreshing beer. Stop by our restaurant on Tuesdays to take advantage of our Taco Tuesday specials, or come by on Mondays to enjoy Margarita Monday with our delicious drinks at our full-service bar. You’ll love our family-friendly atmosphere, friendly staff, and seasonal specials.

I love Mexican restaurants because their menus are huge. This new place in Westbrook, 11 Main Street, is no exception. There are nine pages of food and drink to look through. There's some stiff competition for Rio Bravo. Maine might be as far away from Mexico as you can get, but we've got some fantastic restaurants to eat south of the border.

They announced their opening on their Facebook page. They were very excited.

Of course, there was that one guy who said, and I quote,

I'm not a fan of Mexican.

Rio Bravo responded quickly,

We also have an all-American menu 🙂 New york steak, BBQ chicken, Bacon cheeseburger + more.

I like them already.
