Retired New Hampshire Man Set To Walk 1,000 Miles For The Ronald McDonald House
Dwight Barnes used to own and operate a McDonald's franchise, according to News Center Maine. Now, the Deerfield, New Hampshire man is retired and wants to give back to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of New England. That's why he is about to embark on a one thousand mile journey to raise money and awareness for this good cause.
News Center Maine says Barnes will start walking 20-25 miles per day on August 17th. He could be out for 56 days. Barnes reportedly plans to visit the Ronald McDonald Houses in five New England states during his trek, including Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont.
Barnes told News Center Maine, "My feet will be sore, but it will be a good sore because I know what the purpose is."
