In case you haven't heard the news, California-grown whole avocados are being recalled. NECN reports that Henry Avocado, a Southern California company, is voluntarily recalling conventional and organic avocados due to concerns over listeria contamination. The avocados were sold in six states including New Hampshire.

Avocados imported from Mexico and distributed by Henry are not being recalled and are safe to eat, according to NECN. So far, there are no reports of any illnesses due to the avocados.

If you have purchased California avocados, take them back to the store for a refund.
