Really, New Hampshire? I’m So Disappointed in the Granite State’s Favorite Girl Scout Cookie
Ok, I'm not sure where to begin without obviously insulting the majority of New Hampshire. Apparently, we're a Tagalongs state. What the what?!?
Yes, while 38 states around the country, according to a Google trend, say Thin Mints are their Girl Scout cookie of choice, we here in New Hampshire said, nope, we're sticking with those crispy cookies with peanut butter covered in chocolate.
That's right, we're Team Tagalongs. Or in some cases known as Peanut Butter Patties.
Who agrees with us in New England? Absolutely no one.
That's right, Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut are all Team Thin Mints.
As a matter of fact, the only states that join us on Team Tagalongs include Delaware, West Virginia, Mississippi, Alabama, Illinois, Wyoming, and Alaska.
So random if I do say so myself.
Interestingly there are 10-12 flavors of cookies, according to the Girl Scouts page, but only 4 of them actually made the favorites list.
I'm sure there's a bit of nostalgia incorporated in the fact that Thin Mints, Tagalongs, and even Do-si-dos (solely sitting as the favorite in South Dakota), all made the faves list. They're basically the originals, around since the '70s according to Little Brownie Bakers, one of the two companies that make the cookies.
Adventurefuls made the list as well in a few states, which is odd because this is its first year.
Did Iowa, Kansas, and Arkansas get some kind of sneak taste that the rest of us missed out on? Those states voted Team Adventurefuls as the best Girl Scout cookie.
Not to go along with the crowd or anything, but Thin Mints should definitely be the chosen cookie in New Hampshire because there's nothing like that cool mint with chocolate along with our hot chocolate in the wintertime. They're also perfect for a quick grab without peanut butter breath, but rather a quick rush of coolness.
