Public Pianos Are Now A Thing In Portland
How cool is this? According to mainepublic.org, four public pianos were unveiled in Downtown Portland last week. They were placed in high traffic areas throughout the city, including Monument Square, Congress Square, Longfellow Square and Bramhall Square. They are free for anyone to step up and show off their talents, now through July.
I love playing piano, although I'm no good at it at all. I approached the one in Monument Square earlier today, only to see it in use by someone who actually know what they're doing. Oh well, maybe next time!
