President Trump has declared Wednesday, December 5 as a National Day of Mourning for the funeral of President George H.W. Bush. That means that federal offices will be closed as will the New York Stock Exchange and the Postal Service.

This is tradition that has been done in remembrance of every President that has passed beginning with the 39th President, Richard Nixon. The last time this was done was for the funeral of President Gerald Ford in 2007. However, this is the first time that the Postal Service will be closed.

Here in Maine, Governor LePage has ordered all state offices closed on the National Day of Mourning.

Many people on Twitter are not too happy that Post Offices won't be open on Wednesday during their busiest time of they year.

What do you think? Should the Post Office remain open on the National Day of Mourning for President Bush's funeral or is closing the Post Office the proper thing to do?
