One Of My Fave Stores, White House Black Market Closed Its Maine Mall Location

I'm really bummed about WHBM closing their store at the Maine Mall. They had the cutest clothes.

I found out the hard way that one of my favorite stores had closed their doors. I was looking for a cute sun-dress to wear on my trip to Nova Scotia this weekend aboard the CAT, so I went to the mall. White House Black Market was gone, just like that. No notice. No news coverage. (At least, I didn't see or hear about it on the news.) What a disappointing way to find out.

Yes, I can still order clothes online from WHBM, but I like to try clothes on before I buy them. And, even though online shopping is super convenient, returning items is not easy.

I can't even find an explanation or apology on the store's South Portland Facebook page. That's not cool!

It's time for me to find another favorite store.
