The Boston Globe report that more humpback whales have been seen in Boston Harbor as of late for an important reason, according to scientists at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). In fact, NOAA gives a very practical explanation for why this is happening. Even though local people and tourists would like to believe the whales are playing, they are actually "following their food."
