Granite Staters, raise a glass to this one! New Hampshire is one of the fastest growing states in the country for local beer companies, according to a recent study. In an article posted by Forbes, New Hampshire ranked sixth in the country for increase in the number of local beer breweries, and had the most substantial growth in New England. The study, conducted by C+R Research, shows that in New Hampshire, there are 5.6 breweries per 100,000 adults that are of drinking age. That's an increase of 33% in the last four years.

Neighboring Vermont has been declared “the craft beer capital of the United States,” with the highest number of breweries per 100,000 adults that are of drinking age (11.5). Maine is close behind, ranking at number three, with 9.6.
