Just in Time for Halloween, Play Basketball With Ghosts in This New Hampshire Town
The movie Space Jam had a basketball court that aliens played on, and there's a solid chance that this basketball court in Chester, New Hampshire has ghosts that either play a game of pick-up when no one is around, or interfere in our games and we don't realize it. Because there's no way this basketball court isn't haunted.
Village Cemetery is located near Chester Town Hall
Along Route 102 in Chester, New Hampshire, in an area that could be considered a quaint little downtown complete with a general store, church, and town hall building, is a cemetery called Village Cemetery. During the fall season, you'll usually see creative scarecrows lined up in front of and across the street from it.
Village Cemetery is also positioned almost directly right next to a K-8 grade school called Chester Academy. The only thing separating the cemetery from the school? A basketball court.
While researching any reports or stories of ghost encounters or haunted situations in Chester, I came across this Facebook thread from almost two years ago in August 2020 where multiple residents share tales of their encounters (and even one referencing a UFO sighting), but no story that was shared had anything to do with anything near Village Cemetery or the basketball court.
But you can't tell me that court isn't haunted or at least experience some type of paranormal activity. Has anyone ever played on that court and experienced something paranormal? The ball randomly changing directions? The nets moving while the wind wasn't blowing? Someone randomly jumping from half-court and defying gravity to dunk a ball? Let us know in the comments. In the meantime...
Anyone down for a game of pick-up in Chester?
