Thanksgiving is on Thursday, November 25!

Obviously, being less than two weeks out from Thanksgiving, mostly all eyes (and appetites) are already on one of the biggest family eating holidays of the year. We're thinking about drowning slices of turkey and mashed potatoes in gravy. The tang of cranberry sauce. The sweetness of pumpkin pie. All surrounded by the love of friends and family (and probably a couple of political debates).

Because for some -- actually, for too many -- even being able to get their next meal, let alone a feast in less than two weeks, is extremely difficult.

Unfortunately, though, this isn't the scene for everyone in Northern New England, and these aren't the thoughts that everyone is having right now. Because for some -- actually, for too many -- even being able to get their next meal, let alone a feast in less than two weeks, is extremely difficult.

That's why we want to not only help you get a free turkey, but help the hungry in Maine enjoy turkey as well.

Win a Turkey a Day on 94.9 HOM!

All next week (November 15 through November 19), once per morning during Jadd in the Morning (weekdays 6a-10a), you're listening for the turkey gobble. As soon as you hear it, be the first caller to 1-800-228-1949. If you're the first caller through, not only will you win a free turkey, but Jadd in the Morning is going to match your turkey and donate one to Good Shepherd Food Bank as well, whose mission it is to end hunger completely in Maine.

In fact, this is the exact sounder you're listening for during Jadd in the Morning next week:

Good luck! And let's feed not only your family, but do some good and also feed as many hungry Mainers as we can through Good Shepherd Food Bank.
