New Study Ranks New Hampshire Safest State In The Country
Most people, especially those who live in New Hampshire, know that the Granite State is one of the safest places to live in the country. But a new study gives us some pretty solid evidence that it's actually the safest place...in the United States!
New for 2020, the website LawnStarter recently released the results of a new study, designed to tell us the safest states in the country. And wouldn't you know it, there's New Hampshire, at the very top of the list. The #1 safest state in the country to live.
The website based their finding of a variety of factors. Using FBI crime statistics, they determined which states had the highest rates of arson, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny, motor vehicle theft, murder, rape, and robbery. They then weighted each of those crimes based on the average amount of jail time that goes with each crime. That's how they got to their "Danger Index," which placed New Hampshire at the top of the list, with the lowest score.
Safest state in the county. Does that sound accurate to you? Let us know what you think, with a comment in the Facebook post!
