Well here's some good news for Portland! Another milestone was reached this week, in their effort to reduce carbon emissions by 80 percent by the year 2050. According to WMTW, the city just unveiled a new solar panel farm, which covers over four acres of land. Mayor Ethan Strimling was on hand to show off the panels, over 2,800 of them. They occupy a space on Ocean Avenue which was once a landfill. The project, which was over two years in the making, is just one of several projects the city has planned to reach their emissions reduction goal.
