New Hampshire Fugitive Busted After Entering Karaoke Contest
(FYI: This is not the wanted fugitive.)
Is this man stupid or what? He's definitely our "Dummy of the Day."
43-year-old Ronald Duby Junior had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for failing to register as a sex offender in New Hampshire, according to WMUR in Manchester, NH. He was even reportedly featured as the U.S. Marshals' "Fugitive of the Week," last week.
A smart criminal would have kept a low profile, but not this guy. Duby decided to enter a karaoke contest on Saturday night at a bar in North Chelmsford, Massachusetts, as per WMUR.
Unfortunately for him, someone recognized him and called the police. WMUR reports that Duby was charged as a fugitive from justice and appeared in Lowell District Court on Monday. He is expected to be extradited to New Hampshire.
We're left wondering if Duby is a good singer and if he would have won the karaoke contest. We're also dying to know what song he sang.
Here's the bottom line and a lesson for criminals: If you're wanted for breaking the law, lay low. Don't compete in contests.
