New Englanders Weigh In: Favorite Staycation Spots

Where is your favorite Staycation spot in New England? This is the question AJ and I asked our listeners and Facebook fans last week. We received so many suggestions on lovely places to visit right here in our own backyard. Some are destinations I have never heard of before. Now that I have, I would love to explore as many of them as possible.

Last year, my husband and I spent a few days in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. It is such a magical place, and we cannot wait to go back. We took many pictures to include the one above.

Here's a list of the five places I would like to visit, based on your suggestions:

(1) Sebago Lake in Maine.
(2) Lake Sunapee in New Hampshire.
(3) Lower Falls on the Kancamagus Highway.
(4) Windy Ridge Orchard overlooking the mountains in Haverhill, New Hampshire.
(5) Salisbury State Park in Salisbury, Massachusetts.
