New England Walmarts Roll Out New Social Distancing Policies
Some new measures went into effect at Walmart last weekend, due to safety concerns about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, according to MSN News. The national chain made two important changes:
Walmart has started to limit the number of people who can be in the store at one time. There can only be five customers per one thousand square feet. MSN says that is 20% of a store’s capacity. Walmart associates will let one person in as another one leaves, after the store gets to its capacity as per MSN.
The other important change involves the store's aisles. They will now run in one direction only to allow customers to have plenty of space between them. This safety measure is not available in all Walmart stores, yet; but hopefully will be soon.
