New England Men May Shave Their Beards After Hearing About This Germ Study
You might be running to the bathroom for your razor after you hear this… Men's beards are more likely to be filled with germs and bacteria than dog fur, according to researchers in Switzerland as per the Daily Mail. Scientists were reportedly trying to figure out if people could get dog-borne diseases from MRI scanners that were also used by veterinarians. What they found when they compared the results of the two groups is alarming.
100% of the men in the study had high microbial counts in their facial hair as opposed to approximately three-fourths of the dogs. YIKES! Even more hair-raising (pun intended): Almost half the men had bacteria in their beards that were "hazardous to human health" as per the Daily Mail.
