It's no big secret that New England is a great place to live. The quality of life here consistently ranks high in several studies we've seen.

But I thought this one was especially unique, because it mentions my hometown!

Concord, NH ranks #3 on the list of the best State Capitals to live in in 2019, according to a recent study conducted by SmartAsset, and published my Yahoo Finance. I completely agree that Concord is a great place to live, work, and raise a family. But maybe I'm a little impartial, considering it's my hometown.

But wait, there's more good news here for the rest of New England.

Coming in at number four is New Hampshire's neighbor to the west, Montpelier, Vermont. And the number five spot goes to Boston, Massachusetts.

Three in the top five in New England, I'd say that's not too shabby!

And while it didn't do quite as well, Augusta, Maine placed in the top half, coming in at number 21.

The study considered metrics such as median income after housing costs, unemployment rate, crime, and more.
