New England celebrity Elisabeth Hasselbeck was very quick to respond after audio was leaked of her screaming expletives during a commercial break from "The View." According to Yahoo Entertainment, the female hosts of the daytime talk show were discussing the FDA’s proposal to allow the morning-after pill to be sold over the counter, during an episode that aired on August 2, 2006. Hasselbeck was against the plan, and reportedly became upset when Barbara Walters made a comment about her being irrational. In the audio, which was published in Variety as part of the book "Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story Of The View," Hasselbeck can be heard cursing and saying she would not return to the set, as per Yahoo. She also made a comment about wanting to quit the show.

Hasselbeck, who was born and raised in Cranston, Rhode Island, defended her actions in an Instagram post (below) by saying she is “quite humanly reactive.” She went on to say she was pregnant with her second child Taylor at the time and was "thinking of her own experience with pregnancy." Hasselbeck also talked about the way she handles differences of opinion now as opposed to back then. She credits God for "changing her ways."

Hasselbeck attended St. Mary Academy in Bay View, and graduated from Boston College in 1999, according to Yahoo Entertainment.
