New Bill Calls For Major Changes To Maine’s Vehicle Inspection Requirements
This is long overdue, don't you agree? Maine seems to be behind the times when it comes to the vehicle inspection process.
Maine lawmakers are thinking about making some major changes to car inspection requirements, according to our news partner WMTW. Among the proposals in this new bill are biannual vehicle inspections instead of yearly ones and a grace period to give the car owner more time to get an inspection sticker.
The bill has been in the hands of the Legislature's transportation committee since Tuesday. The committee is supposed to continue its discussion next week as per WMTW.
