As spring slowly creeps into Maine and the snow melts away, many Mainers are preparing to hit the roads and trails on their bikes. If you're one of those people who could use a new-to-you bike, the Great Maine Bike Swap can score you a great deal.

The Bicycle Coalition of Maine’s Great Maine Bike Swap is coming to Sullivan Gym at the University of Southern Maine on April 14 from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. Hundreds of quality used bicycles from mountain bikes to children's bikes will be for sale at all price ranges.

If you have a used bike that is in good condition that you'd like to sell, you can drop it off the night before.  There's a  $5 registration fee for selling a bike, and it costs $5 entry to the bike swap to buy a bike.

The entire gym gets filled with bikes, but you'll need to get there early for the best selection because they go fast!

This time-lapse video from last year's Bike Swap shows all the bikes getting loaded into the gym.
