My Favorite Maine Band Rocked Out in Rockland, Heading to Portland Next

If there is one thing I love doing it’s going to live music events. Whether it’s a local band at a pub or a big headliner at State Theater, I live for a good show.

I dig cover bands just like everyone else but it feels like Maine’s kinda been lacking an original music scene. Sure, people like being able to sing along, but original, authentic music from a unique band is unparalleled.

Anyone can learn a hit song but not everyone can make their own.

Rigometrics Rocked Rockland

A new local original band has been tearing it up around Maine and even recently hit the East Coast for a tour in their Big Rig.

The OG rock n’ roll band is inspired by legends like Led Zepplin, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and Jimi Hendrix, creating a transformative and unique sound that differentiates them drastically from the cover bands we’re used to around town.

I LOVE dancing so I’m at nearly every show I can go to and what I love about the Rigometrics is the ride their shows take me on, from head-banging to one song to swinging my hips to another. It’s high-energy, lively, and fun.

They just tore up the pier at Eclipse of The Pearl where 250+ people moved and grooved, head-banged, and rocked out in Rockland for a killer show.

Rigometrics at Portland House of Music

Coming up THIS WEEK, the Rigometrics will be bringing their contagious energy to the beloved Portland House of Music in downtown Portland for a special show I promise you won’t want to miss. I may be biased since they’re my favorite local band but as someone who lives for music, I would say I have ground to stand on for a pretty solid opinion.
