Mast Landing Brewing To Open Destination Taproom/Brewpub In Freeport This Summer
Call it going back to your roots. Mast Landing Brewing Company, which has operated a successful taproom in Westbrook for several years now announced on Tuesday that they plan to open a second taproom in the town where it all started for them, Freeport. And it won't just be any run-of-the-mill taproom, Mast Landing is planning to open a two-floor destination taproom/brewpub this summer.
Where Will It Be Located In Freeport?
It will be located at Freeport Crossing, where Dunkin' and Shaw's Supermarket is currently located. It's a prime piece of real estate, featuring a sleek glass design to the building, with green space available and proximity to I-295. This building was home to Carter's several years ago.
What Can I Expect If I Visit?
First off, the new Mast Landing Freeport will be massive, with 11,000 square feet of space. It will be home to an onsite kitchen, meaning a full menu of delicious bites will be available. It will also be home to select small-batch beers that will be exclusive to the Freeport location as well as the ability to test out new offerings (seltzers, perhaps?). A perfect excuse to make the trip if you're from out-of-town. Mast Landing will also have the room to host private events in Freeport, with one of the largest spaces in the area.
When Will Mast Landing Freeport Open?
As of right now, Mast Landing is only stating that it will open this summer. Construction is underway but as with all projects, timeframes can change. Expect another major grand opening announcement in the not too distant future.
