Man Uses Toy Gun To Rob South Portland Bank
While it sounds pretty funny, a recent bank robbery was actually no laughing matter.
According to the Portland Press Herald, a 70 year old man recently attempted to rob a South Portland bank with a toy gun.
Police say Donald Sturton entered the Bank of America at 425 Philbrook Ave. just after 3:30 p.m. He demanded money, claiming he had a gun. While he never actually showed a gun, he did leave the bank with a small amount of cash. Police caught up with him soon after and recovered the cash, along with a toy gun.
