A Rochester man faces up to 14 years in prison and $8,000 in fines after he allegedly threatened his domestic partner using a fire poker and hammer.

Prosecutors say Terrance Sleweon, 36, threatened his 57-year-old intimate partner by pointing the fire poker at her and ordering her to sit on the couch.

Sleweon allegedly was on top of the woman when he threatened her with the hammer.

Prosecutors say the incident happened in Rochester on May 13.

Sleweon is charged with two Class B felony counts of false imprisonment with a deadly weapon and was indicted by a grand jury at Strafford County Superior Court in Dover on Sept. 17.
