Maine’s Tallest Building Isn’t Very Tall, Relatively Speaking

Only two other states in the country have smaller tallest buildings.

If you come to Maine looking for skyscrapers, you'll be disappointed.

The Portland Press Herald recently published a story about how Maine's tallest building (Franklin Towers) compared to the tallest buildings from each of the other states in the country.

According to highrises.com, Maine ranks 48th on the tallest buildings list. Franklin Towers in Portland is 16 floors, and 175 feet.

Only South Dakota and Vermont have smaller tallest buildings.
