Douro in Portland, Maine Made The New York Times List
Douro, located on Thames Street in Portland, is getting a shoutout for the kind of food that makes you immediately want to text your friends, “Okay, when are we going?”
The New York Times’ Melissa Clark specifically told us about dishes including bone-in pork chop with Jimmy Nardello peppers and tempura Romano beans. Yum.
And now I’m suddenly very interested in rearranging my weekend plans.
Because this isn’t just a list of spots somewhere across the country that we’ll probably never visit. It’s right here in Portland.
And there’s another very Maine connection: Douro will also be part of Maine Lobster Week’s Lobster Roll Remix happening next week.
So apparently September is just the month we’re being given increasingly delicious reasons to eat our way through Portland, Maine and Douro is certainly a spot to add onto your list!
