The fire department arrived at the scene at around 7pm last night, after the house was already ablaze. Luckily, Sgt. Vernon Stephens just happened to be nearby, before the firefighters showed up. Stephens helped the boys, 11 and 14 years old, out of the building.

He even caught one of the boys who jumped from the burning house.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Sadly, one person lost their life. The victim has not yet been identified.
