Maine rapper Spose while on tour across the country was robbed of $30,000 worth of equipment and personal belongings in Saint Louis, Missouri. Fans and supporters from Maine & beyond have banded together to raised over $10,000 in 24 hours for the Wells native.

We're rather fond of Spose.  He was one of our judges along with his sweet little daughter, Lily at the 94.9 HOM Cupcake Challenge. He's a smart hardworking Mainer who has had his livelihood pulled from under him.  His fans have responded by donating $5, $10...whatever they can to help him rebuild what was lost.

Spose's response on Facebook, "I run a small business. I pay taxes. I reinvest every dollar I make into either my family or furthering my business. I'm so thankful that so many people recognize how devastating a loss this is for us. And I'm so thankful for all the support and the kind words and actions from people all over the country (and the world!) in the past 24 hours. The fact that Spose fans on their own set up a benefit fund to help us begin to regain the things we had worked so hard to attain goes to show how selfless and generous and GOOD my small but passionate fanbase can be."
