Maine Man Helped Hurricane Michael Victims In His Florida Hometown
As recovery efforts continue in Hurricane Michael-ravaged Florida Panhandle, a Maine man decided to lend a helping hand. Bill Peterson, who now lives in York, Maine is from Wewahitchka, Florida, according to the Seacoast Online website. Wewahitchka, which has a population of 2000 people, looks like it was wiped off the map from the pictures that are being shown in the media. Entires houses are gone; trees have been uprooted; and there is no electricity, as per the report on Seacoast Online. Luckily, no one in Peterson's family was seriously injured.
Peterson left Maine with a trailer full of donated supplies last week. His plan was to distribute the items to people in need.
