Maine Dog Escapes Flames & Births Precious Puppies Under Fire Truck
A litter of puppies are safe thanks to their smart mama and some hardworking firefighters, according to WGME. The pregnant German Shepherd managed to escape a fire that reportedly completely destroyed a single-story home on Sanborn Hill Road in Chesterville, Maine last Thursday. That house belonged to her owner, Gary Welch. Fortunately, he was not at home at the time, and no one else was injured.
As firefighters did their job putting out the blaze, mama dog did hers, giving birth to her adorable fur babies under a nearby fire truck. All the dogs are reportedly healthy.
The cause of the fire is unknown as per WGME.
