Why This Surprise Meant Everything to a 7-Year-Old Mainer Fighting Leukemia
What does hope look like to you?
Well, to one 7-year-old Maine girl, it looks like Super Nintendo World in Florida, according to WGME.
Meet Miss Khloe Drew from Augusta, a beautiful young girl, who has sadly been diagnosed with leukemia. Because of Make-A-Wish Maine, Khloe is about to see her dreams come to life.
A trip to Universal Studios is what she wants, and like Cinderella's fairy Godmother, Khloe’s wish will be granted, but it won’t stop at midnight.
A little bit about this young girl: she loves animals and Nintendo games and its something she loves to do to escape the reality of her disease.
Her friends at Make-A-Wish Maine are going to give her the awesome ability to step inside the colorful world of Mario and Princess Peach.
How Make-A-Wish Maine Made the Magic Happen
As per the article, Make-A-Wish Maine partnered up with Central Maine Power to surprise Khloe by sending her and celebrating the moment with a day of Mario Kart competitions.

Khloe’s mom, Sierra told WGME, that this trip means the world to travel and the chance for her daughter to just be a kid again saying,
"For Khole it means a lot. Before she got sick, this was something she actually really wanted to do, I think this will make up for a lot of lost time that she wasn't able to have a lot of fun and kind of forget about the stuff she's been going through for a little bit." WGME
Make-A-Wish Maine is also gearing up for their Power of a Wish Telethon happening in February which will be a great opportunity for viewers to help make more wished like Khloe’s come true.
