Jacob Thompson’s Classmates Honor Him By Dressing As Penguins

I was very sad to hear 9-year-old Jacob Thompson lost his battle with cancer. His family decided to celebrate Christmas early, after Jacob's doctors told them he might not make it to December 25th. I'm grateful that he and his family chose the first song of HOM's Christmas kickoff for 2017. The song was "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24" by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I cannot imagine losing a child and as such, can't relate to how his family must be feeling. My heart goes out to his family in their time of grief.

It truly touched my heart to hear Jacob's classmates at Young School in Saco paid tribute to him by dressing as his favorite animals, penguins. WMTW has the story here.
