I try not to "yuck" anyone's "yum" but I do not understand people who seek out haunted or scary things...

That said, I know a LOT of people love scary things: Salem in October, haunted restaurants, haunted houses, and even graveyards.

There is certainly a population, especially around Halloween, who love to find old tombstones and even older burial grounds.

Well for those people in New England, look no further than the Myles Standish Burial Ground - America's oldest, active graveyard.

Myles Standish, who the burial ground is named after, was a military officer who helped sail the Mayflower and establish the colony of Plymouth, Massachusetts in 1620.

But even Standish does not hold the "record" for the oldest tombstone in the burial ground.

That title, belongs to Captain Jonathan Alden, according to the town of Duxbury website. Alden was among the last survivors of the Mayflower passengers, dying in 1687. He was a crew member of the original ship.

The Myles Standish Burial Ground is located at Chestnut St, in Duxbury, MA 02332.
So for those who want to pay respects to our nation's past, or walk around trying to contact famous ghosts from America's history, check it out.
