Never did I ever think that I would call a graveyard "cool..." but this graveyard in New England is so cool.

It is unlike any other cemetery I have seen before. In fact, it is so cool you could probably call the 125-year-old cemetery an art museum.

The graveyard is called Hope Cemetery in Barre, VT.

Barre, VT has been called the granite capital of the world, known for its high-quality granite.

Well, those alive have paid tribute to Barre's past (both historically and past humans) by presenting incredible granite sculptures in replacement of "normal" tombstones.

When you think of it, this is brilliant.

If you could afford it, because I am sure these art pieces are expensive, wouldn't you want a tombstone to reflect YOU as a person?

Something other than a headstone with your name and a few facts?

I for one would love a granite jeep with a top tent, two dogs, and a surfboard, oh, and why not just make a model replica of my wife standing over me too!

All jokes aside, the Hope Cemetary is located at 201 Maple Ave, Barre, VT 05641.

Check it out to see some amazing pieces of artwork tied into a tribute to those who have passed away in the area where granite once ruled.
