Summer may be winding down, but it is certainly not over. There are going to be plenty more days that are sunny and 75, if not hotter. And those days call for a swimming hole.

By now, most people have been to Diana's Bath and Lake Winnipesaukee... so maybe it is time to try a different swimming hole. A road trip worthy one...

As I was scrolling through the social apps, I saw an epic "hidden gem" of a swimming hole that had a waterfall, a cliff jump, and a deep pool of water to swim in. The video was sweet, then I realized it was in Maine!

Swimming Holes and Cliff Jumping in Maine

The Frenchman's Hole is in Newry, Maine, near Sunday River.  This swimming hole offers it all: a short walk (only a half mile to get to), a cliff jumping area, a waterfall, and even smaller pools for little ones and relaxing. There is even a bathroom on site.
