Boston’s First Espresso Martini Garden Opens At The Liberty Hotel & It’s Worth The Drive

The espresso martini craze isn't slowing down anytime soon, and Boston is taking the obsession to a whole new level.

Alibi Bar & Lounge at The Liberty Hotel has transformed its outdoor patio into Boston’s first Espresso Martini Garden, a seasonal open-air destination called “Sentenced to Sip.” Alibi describes it as “a seasonal patio experience dedicated to the art of the espresso martini... the first of its kind in Boston.”

According to Mass Live, "Playing on its prison origins, Alibi Bar & Lounge at The Liberty Hotel opened its Sentenced to Sip Espresso Martini Garden on Saturday, June 13th."

And I have to admit, I’m a little heartbroken that I just discovered this, because summer is already on its way out. How did I not know there was an entire garden in Boston dedicated to espresso martinis?!

Although their website says "seasonal", Mass Live reports that it'll be open indefinitely (a girl can only hope!).

Espresso martinis have become one of the go-to cocktails for nights out with your best friends, and now you can sip them outdoors surrounded by twinkling lights and seasonal greenery.

The garden is tucked behind the historic walls of the former Charles Street Jail, now home to The Liberty Hotel. Alibi describes it as “an open-air espresso martini destination” complete with string lights, lush seasonal décor and a lively atmosphere for warm summer nights.

The garden also puts a creative spin on the classic cocktail, offering different espresso martini variations rather than just your standard coffee-and-vodka combination.

So, even though I may have discovered this way later than I should have, I'm already thinking about making the drive to Boston before the season wraps up. Because an espresso martini this fun is totally worth the road trip!
