I am a huge fan of hot food from grocery stores.

Whenever I do my weekly shopping trip I always treat myself to a pre-made meal. Sometimes that means sushi, dumplings, chicken tenders, a wrap or a sub...or in yesterday's instance, an entire breakfast.

Yesterday morning I was doing my weekly shopping trip at Market Basket and just as I was about to finish up, I stopped at the hot food station.

I rarely shop in the morning so when I saw breakfast sandwiches, hash browns, and stuffed cheesy hashbrowns with bacon, I grabbed one of each - when in Rome.

I won't let this linger - it was damn good.

First of all, the price of the breakfast sandwich was like $2.50 (or something like that). The hashbrowns and the stuffed hash were about the same price (maybe even cheaper).

The food was way better than I expected. I say this because it was made at 6:50 AM and I ate it at 10:30 AM.

So those puppies were sitting under the heater for four hours before I had it...and it was STILL really good.

I can only imagine how good they would be if consumed closer to the cooking time.

The breakfast sandwich was loaded with white American cheese. The hashbrowns were ridiculously crispy. It was a hot feast that I did not have to cook or wait for, and all for only $6-$8.

Plus, unlike other grab-and-go food, they show you when they were cooked/packaged so you do not have to wonder how long they have been out under the heat lamps.

So again, I will repeat...do NOT sleep on Market Basket breakfast. Respect to Demulas.
