This Retro Gem Was Named the Best Classic Diner in New Hampshire by Food Network
Feeling nostalgic and hungry?
There's an old-school New Hampshire diner that's a visual blast from the past but also serves up some incredible breakfast and lunch meals.
Oh, and Food Network recently named it the best classic diner in the Granite State.
Best Classic Diner in New Hampshire
There are plenty of great diners throughout New Hampshire to satisfy your cravings.
LoveFood named The Red Arrow Diner, which has locations in Concord, Londonderry, Manchester, and Nashua, as the best in the state, and Food & Wine touted Gilley's PM Lunch in Portsmouth as the No. 1 Granite State spot.
Then there's Food Network, which served up a list of the classic diners you can't miss in each of the 50 states and zeroed in on Four Aces Diner for New Hampshire.
Four Aces Diner in West Lebanon, New Hampshire
Four Aces Diner first opened in 1952, and according to Offbeat Eats, was originally located downtown before it moved to its permanent location at 23 Bridge Street in West Lebanon.
The Valley News notes that the restaurant can be found inside a real vintage dining car, a No.837 Worcester Lunch Car, but you'll notice that it's been made a part of the building.
Inside, you'll find wooden booths, a large counter with red and white stools, as well as decor that's a real flashback to the past. Look out for the Magic 8 Balls as well.
Food Network does highlight the Four Aces Diner's breakfast as the standout, and a lot of the reviews on Yelp would agree.
A recent Yelp review noted that it was "an amazing breakfast and brunch spot" with a wide variety of options that included a Mickey Mouse waffle, steak & eggs and scrambled eggs with tots.
Another review stated that it was "the best breakfast I have ever had for an omelette and STRONG FLAVORED COFFEE!"
One thing to note: it can get crowded and busy, so just be aware there might be some wait time to sit/eat.
It's no surprise it's popular either, as Four Aces has even earned a place as one of the best diners in New England per Yankee Magazine.
