New Hampshire Seacoast Businesses Will Stay Open as Company Finds Buyer Amid Bankruptcy
LL Flooring New Hampshire Locations Not Closing
The AP reported last week, that all LL Flooring stores would be closing less than a month after it claimed bankruptcy.
That would mean that all New Hampshire locations, including two New Hampshire Seacoast locations in North Hampton and Somersworth, would soon close.
Wait a Minute
Now, that has been backed up as the company has found a buyer for the properties, according to another associated press article.
The Company Began in Massachusetts
LL Flooring, formerly known as Lumber Liquidators, began in Stoughton, Massachusetts out of a pick up truck, according to USA Today.
The Buyer, F9 Investments is based out of Miami and is owned by the founder of Lumber Liquidators, Tom Sullivan. LL Flooring will return to the original name of Lumber Liquidators..
The apnews.com article says, the "yellow and black is coming back."
The name change back in 2020 to LL Flooring was due to the value of its stock falling, potentially due to a report by 60 minutes claiming their laminate flooring contained high levels of formaldehyde, a known cancer-causing chemical.
I spoke with Dan from the North Hampton, New Hampshire store and he sounded very happy that his store was not closing.
When it comes down to it, it's about jobs and community, so I'm happy that the original founder of Lumber Liquidators is taking the reigns back and not closing the stores.
When I dealt with the Manchester, New Hampshire location years and years ago, it was a good experience, so let's hope this is a fresh start for the company.
