Ya hate to see it, but New Hampshire had their share of restaurants and bakeries that closed down in 2024.

Some of these places were chains that were part of a bigger picture on a corporate level, while others were hometown shops.

The local Mom and Pop shops are the most heartbreaking, but I'm assuming it was for the good of the people.

Local New Hampshire Restaurants Closed in 2024

Blue Latitudes, Dover, NH

Blue Latitudes was open in downtown Dover for 20 years but decided to close in 2024.  Lucky for us, it's not the end of tasting their food.  They have a sister restaurant, Roost, also located in Downtown Dover.

Mitchell Hill Barbeque, Rochester, NH

Mitchell Hill Barbeque did close its restaurant, however, it still has its catering business, so you can still get their tasty food.

Duston's Bakery, Dover, NH

This place has been in Dover for years.  Many people in the community will miss not only their baked goods but their homemade lunches that you could run in and get any time you were hungry.  A local favorite that I hope potentially re-opens in 2025.

Thompson House Eatery, Jackson, NH

Thompson House Eatery's website is still up.  From what I can see, it was a farm-to-table, fine dining restaurant.  There is no explanation why they closed.

Many National Chains Saw Closures Across the U.S.

Outback Steakhouse, Seabrook, NH

This Outback Steakhouse location had no notice that it was on the chopping block of a National closure.  According to WMUR, there were some employees that had the opportunity to transfer.  Those who did not have that option, would receive a severance package.

IHOP in Newington, NH

Another closure of a national chain.  This IHOP location is close to the Fox Run Mall who has seen decreased traffic for years and the pandemic may have put it over the edge.

TGIFriday's in Amherst, NH, permanently closed.

Bertucci's, Manchester and Salem, permanently closed.

We Love These Veteran Owned and Operated Businesses in New Hampshire

In New Hampshire, we live free and are proud of it! Just take a look at our license plates. However, we are only able to live free because of the brave. We are thankful to the brave men and women who are currently fighting/have fought for our country. Many of them own thriving businesses in New Hampshire today. If you get a chance to support one, do it! These hard working people exemplify what living in New Hampshire is all about.
